The Opportunity

  The previous e-commerce system that Wisefood Storage was built on was not enterprise-ready.  Wise needed a solution that was scalable.  They couldn’t risk their profitability on a poorly coded e-commerce solution. Wise Food Storage is a leader in emergency food essentials. They are the official sponsor of Doomsday Bunkers on the Discovery channel.

The Ask

Wise Food Storage asked us to create a scalable e-commerce solution for them with the following requirements:

• • Coupon module with migration of coupons from their previous system
  • Create an affiliate Module and migrate affiliate data
  • Migrate sales history
  • Migrate products
  • Migrate users
  • Create custom shipping module
  • Create HTML/CSS template from Photoshop .PSD files
  • Setup and secure Linux servers

The Strategy

Wise Food Storage needed a partner that understood how to scale e-commerce systems.  E-commerce requires a significant understanding of security and scalability.  We decided to go with a true and tested system: Magento

The Plan

The first phase of this project was to analyze the current functionality of Wise Food Storage’s previous e-commerce solution.  This included analyzing the data structure, the affiliate system, and the coupon module currently used. Wise Food Storage had a hard deadline of 3 weeks to get this project done.  We were able to hit that deadline and get them on their way to success. Since we created the website the company was sold.
